Anti-Wrinkle injections are as important for preventing deep wrinkles in the future you of tomorrow, as they are in enhancing your natural beauty today. Anti-Wrinkle injections are designed to smooth away the wrinkles and lines in most commonly, your frown, forehead and crows feet area, although it can be used in other areas of your face also, for example; to reduce your lip lines, reduce your gummy smile or soften your mouth frown. It is a type of naturally occurring protein extract and is generally very well tolerated in the minute levels administered for cosmetic use. Anti-Wrinkle treatments have been approved for use for over 20 years globally.
How Much Will it Cost? Be a Smart Consumer.
Most cosmetic practitioners charge pretty much the same amount for their Anti-Wrinkle injections because we pay pretty much the same amount for them. Don’t be fooled by big injection chain store advertising that states a price per unit, that seems less than half the amount than other reputable cosmetic medical establishments. Although the therapeutic goods administration (TGA) prevents us from listing the brands available in Australia, think of it this way. One Anti-Wrinkle solution is measured in European units and the other in American units. For one to equal the other, the European brands units, must then be multiplied by 2.5. Therefore, if someone advertises that their Anti-Wrinkle solution is $4.80/unit, guess what, it is exactly the same as them saying it is $12/unit. Why?? Because if they advertise the lesser monetary value, the amount of units injected, needs to be multiplied by 2.5 to equal the same strength. Stay with me…. So instead of you requiring 20 units of Anti-Wrinkle solution at $12/unit in your frown area, yes they will charge you $4.80/unit but need to give you 50 units (20 x 2.5 = 50). Thus equalling the EXACT SAME COST TO YOU.
On that note, we charge an ongoing price of $4.80 / $12 unit. (RRP – $6 / $15 unit).
How Does an Anti-Wrinkle Injection Work?
A very small dose of Anti-Wrinkle solution is injected into the muscles that cause your lines and wrinkles. Once the muscles are relaxed, the overlying wrinkles may soften or reduce. The treatment takes around 10-15 minutes, is minimally invasive and relatively pain free.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
You may notice the results of Anti-Wrinkle treatment in just 2-3 days. The peak effect is between 4 -14 days after treatment.
What Results Should I Expect?
When your wrinkles are relaxed after an Anti-Wrinkle treatment, the skin around the area will look smoother and less lined. Anti-Wrinkle treatments allow the untreated areas to move normally and you will still be able to make facial expressions, just with less wrinkling of the skin in the treated areas.
How Long Will the Effects Last?
The effects of Anti-Wrinkle treatments last approximately 3-4 months. Individual results will vary. If you do not continue your Anti-Wrinkle treatment, your muscle activity will gradually return and your wrinkles will slowly reappear. Your wrinkles will not be worse than your pre-treatment state. Anti-wrinkle treatment does not increase the amount of wrinkles that you have, you will just be unaccustomed to what your wrinkles look like.
